Recent studies have put to rest a lot of “good health” ideas that we grew up thinking were true. Here are some of the new health ideas (believe it or not):
–Booze is ok, and even helpful. No, don’t take a bottle of cheap wine and drink it in an alley somewhere. But studies show that one or two drinks a day are helpful to your health.
–Forget multivitamins. They don’t help you live longer. Get your vitamins from your foods. The only people who benefit from the vitamins are the vitamin companies.
–Coffee is good for you and milk is bad for you. People who drink a couple of cups of Joe every day do live longer. While milk isn’t actually bad for you, it doesn’t have any benefit to your health or longevity.
