Here’s a New Year’s tip: Give your DOCTOR a checkup before you undergo any surgeries or procedures. Where did he/she go to medical school? Does he/she carry medical malpractice insurance? Have there been any other claims against them or have they had any sanctions or disciplinary measures against them by the Board of Medicine? Are they board-certified?
These are all important things to know in making your healthcare decision. And you can easily find out the answers to these questions.
When I tell callers about this information, the most common comment I get is “I wish I had known that before I went to that doctor.” Do your homework.
