Good Docs and Bad Docs

It was the best of care, it was the worst of care. Two articles in the news today highlighted the good that doctors can do–and the worst they can do.

First, in Rochester, Minnesota, doctors at the Mayo Clinic performed a face transplant on a young man who had shot himself in the face in a suicide attempt. These heroes essentially used their medical skills to give this man his life back. Bravo.

On the other hand, Ex-doctor Christopher Dentsch, in Texas, was just sentenced to life imprisonment for intentionally injuring patients during his neurological surgeries. Bravo for the Texas court system to put this monster behind bars where he belongs.

I’m just sayin’.
