I read Men’s Health magazine and see many other publications that are chock full of tips for a healthier diet. Blueberries make you feel better, coffee prevents alzheimers, one drink a day is good for you, one drink a day raises your risk for cancer. Every month, the suggestions are different and really confusing.
Here’s my take on all this–I’m not a doctor or nutritionist–these are just my thoughts:
Forget all that stuff. Just eat some fruits, some protein and some vegetables every day, and that should be enough (unless you have a special medical condition that restricts what you should have. Then follow your doctor’s advice.) Other than that, use your common sense. If you try to follow everybody’s recommendations, you’ll end up so confused that you’ll head to the Krispy Kreme.
